The theme for the 2024 National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2, 2024 is Light Up The Word - Light Up The World. The theme comes from  2 Samuel 22:29-31: “For you are my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness. For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.”

Dennis Anthony is the Director of Friends of Recovery in Willoughby, Ohio. Friends of Recovery Northeast Ohio (FORNEO) is an organization that provides a healthy, spiritual, residential alternative to individuals burdened by addiction. Our mission is to establish and provide Christ-centered, “Next Step” living, recovery homes offering hope, healing and restoration for individuals recovering from addictive substances. Living by the Book - The Art and Science of Reading the Bible by Dr. Howard Hendricks Professor Hendricks taught at the Dallas Theological Seminary for sixty years and has ministered in over 80 countries. We are offering a class using the above-mentioned book. We will be meeting on the alternating Wednesdays. We will meet at CCC in the Lower Level at 12:30 PM for those interested in learning how to observe, interpret, and apply Scriptures. Pastor Greg and Karen will be teaching and facilitating the class. Please notify the church office if you plan on participating. Those desiring to attend must purchase the workbook in advance.  The book of the same title may also be helpful but not necessary to attend the class.
