On the last Sunday of each month, we have developed a little tradition at CCC. After the worship service and teaching, everyone is invited to the lower level for food and refreshments and a time to socialize. It’s called “Friendship Sunday” because we encourage members to especially reach out to family and friends to invite them to Church. The teaching usually is more evangelistic in its theme and we often ask a member to tell their “story” of how they came to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Frequently we will have “open sharing” where the pastor will ask church members to share what the Lord has been doing in them and through them. We affectionately refer to this as the P.O.B.’s or “Priesthood of Believers”, taken from 1 Peter 2:9-11. These are always very encouraging and uplifting times and God is glorified.
